Tom MacMillan

OD

Dr. MacMillan was born in Huntsville Alabama. He and his wife Ginger were high school sweethearts. Dr. MacMillan graduated from Huntingdon College in Montgomery Alabama. He then attended the University of Alabama School of Optometry in Birmingham graduating in 1993. Dr. MacMillan purchased the practice in Clinton in the fall of 1993. Ginger and Dr. MacMillan have 3 children, Austin, Isaac and Carley. He resides in Clinton and is a very active member of First Baptist Church of Clinton. He serves as a deacon and a Sunday School Teacher. Dr. MacMillan is a member of the Lions club and the Exchange Club. In addition to his busy practice, Dr. MacMillan provides no cost eye exams and glasses to residents of Miracle Hill Mission in Spartanburg and the Good Shepards Clinic in Clinton. All of his offices collect used eyeglasses that he distributes to third world countries during his annual mission trips all across the world. In his spare-time Dr. MacMillan enjoys camping and hiking with his family, and racquetball. It is Dr. MacMillan’s goal is to treat everyone as family. By delivering the best possible care along with the best products, MacMillan Optical strives to provide each patient with excellent service, ensuring a truly fantastic experience in each of the four locations.

Jeremy Anderson

OD

Dr. Anderson has been with Spartanburg Vision since 2004. In 2008, he transitioned from an associate position to a partnership with Dr. MacMillan. Dr. Anderson earned his Bachelor of Science at the College of Charleston in South Carolina and his Doctorate of Optometry at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He is a member in good standing of both the American Optometric Association and the South Carolina Optometric Association. Dr. Anderson grew up in Spartanburg and is very happy to be practicing in his hometown. He enjoys outdoor recreation and loves taking weekend trips with his family to the mountains or the beach. He is an active member of Tyger River Presbyterian Church.

Lindsay Wood

OD

Dr. Wood is a board certified optometrist licensed to diagnose, treat and manage a broad spectrum of visual disorders and ocular disease. Dr. Wood has special interest in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy. She serves as a provider for InfantSEE, a program that gives free eye exams for children from 6-12 months of age. She is a member in good standing of both the American Optometric Association and the South Carolina Optometric Association.

Dr. Wood was born and raised Charleston, SC. She attended Wofford College where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. She then moved to Memphis,TN where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry, with honors, from the Southern College of Optometry. In her free time she enjoys playing tennis, cooking and hiking. She resides with her husband Tom and pup Cooper in Spartanburg.

David MacDonald

Dr. MacDonald was born and raised in Anderson, SC. After graduating from Clemson University with honors, he attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He is licensed to diagnose and treat a wide range of visual and ocular disorders; including prescribing glasses, contacts, and specialty contacts, as well as treating patients with dry eyes, eye infections, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, retinal disorders, etc. His passion is to provide these services in a family atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.

Dr. MacDonald enjoys giving back to the community as much as possible. He has spent extensive time serving mission trips and volunteering for local community organizations. Having grown up alongside a brother with cerebral palsy and autism, he especially loves donating his time to Special Olympics’ events and serving those with special needs. He also enjoys hiking, camping, playing sports, and spending time with his family and friends.
